We'll learn about some of the various artwork, culture, customs and music as we get inspired by one place each day. Our itinerary includes: Japan, Australia, France, Africa and the good ‘ole USA. So, pack your bags and come along with us as we travel first class and make a lot of fabulous first class art work!!! Not to be missed!
Calling all Fashion Divas who want to learn all about clothing design and decoration. While focusing on a few great designers of the past and present, we'll have fun learning how to draw fashion sketches and fashion flats of our own and learn the difference between the two. Then we'll make some super fun projects like high fashion embellished jeans, flashy flapping flip-flops and more!!! This popular camp emphasizes the elements of design and the fun trend of embellishing the ordinary to make things extraordinary! Super fun for girls of all ages! Get your goggles, flippers & fins and let's dive deep, deep under the sea. We'll be inspired by all sorts of interesting creatures who call the ocean home while we experiment in a wide variety of artistic media. We'll try a form of printmaking with bubble wrap and other textures, as we paint with acrylics & watercolors. We'll even sculpt fish and try our hand at Japanese fish printing! This camp is all about making a variety of masks from many different parts of the world. We'll learn about African masks, masks from the Caribbean and Carnival, Native American masks and even Egyptian headdresses and crowns. Some of these will take several days to complete as we will have to wait for the different layers to dry. Paper mache and clay are just some of the techniques we will explore in this fun-filled messy camp!
Lions & Tigers & Bears, oh my! And tropical birds & snakes & monkeys and well, you get the picture. We'll also learn about how to draw lush foliage and flowers and how to layer many different elements in the picture plane to show depth and detail. If you love animals and nature, then this class is sure to please. We will study classic & contemporary artists who were also inspired by animals, while trying our hand at painting, drawing, mixed media, collage, mosaics and more! This camp offers a lot of fantastical fun and variety so, pack your gear and board our magical jeep as we set off deep into the jungle for some monkeying around and fun!!!
Write and illustrate your own books in this creative camp! We will study many author/illustrators as we look at the variety of styles and techniques used in their books. At the end of camp you will know how to bind small books you create in a number of ways that are easy to do on your own and we'll even send one special story off to be professionally bound! Wow! Now you're a published author/illustrator. Come to this camp with many story ideas swimming around in your head and we'll get them down in book form and make treasures to last forever!
If jewelry and accessories are your thing and you have always wanted to know how to make fabulous pieces all by yourself, then this is the camp you've been waiting for. We will be using beautiful high-quality beads and metals (no plastic here) and learn basic stringing techniques and wire wrapping. There will be an extra supply fee for this camp due to the expensive nature of these materials. We will also take a tour throughout the history of jewelry, from the ancient jewels to the contemporary styles of today. Clear out your jewelry boxes to make room for many beautiful new treasures!
Get ready for a lot of amazing art to come home and decorate your walls after this creative camp week! We'll study many famous art masters, learn about their lives, their innovations and their techniques. Then we will get out our brushes and create inspiring works of our own. Matisse, Botticelli Rembrandt and Cezanne are just a few of the masters we will focus on this week. Drawing, watercolors, collage, acrylics, sculpture and more will fill your portfolio fast in this fantastic camp!
Ahoy Mateys! Climb aboard our pirate ship as we set sail for the Caribbean. In this fun camp, the sea, ocean life and a pirate's adventure will inspire our projects. Many techniques will be explored along the way, including: sandpainting, mosaics, sculpture, watercolor painting and more! We will even have a race for buried treasure! So come along and don't miss a minute of the fun!
Don your tiaras and come in your royal playclothes for a week of fantasy art! We will learn all about many different forms of art and try our hand at all of them. Each lesson will be themed around every princess' favorite subject matter – unicorns, castles, princesses, fairies, mermaids and more! We will read stories, study illustrations, listen to music and create, create, create! Watercolors, mosaics, mixed media and acrylics are just some of the types of art that will come home from this girls only dream camp!
